Another week, another new Mac software company springs onto the scene. This week it's Barton Springs Software, and their flagship product is Switchblade. Switchblade is an application launcher controlled by a menubar item. Nothing new about that, certainly. However, Switchblade has the attribute I recall trying out in another similar menubar launcher called My Favorite Things, from Old Jewel Software. Switchblade is shareware for $8, with a free 14-day trial. While at it, compare with My Favorite Things, which costs $17.85 but can be used for free "for as long as you'd like."
