CED -- Committee for Economic Development -- Releases Open Standards, Open Source Report It's hard to tell if this group has the clout to get noticed, but they're telling it like it is anyway. CED is a group of U.S. businesses and academic institutions with a mission of doing research on methods to foster better business practices. In this 72-page report, they call for U.S. business to adopt open standards and open-source software, and to encourage "open innovation." Sounds great to me! The open innovation part may be hard, though.
