The most amusing thing about this whole debate is that it's entirely specious. Nearly every open-source, open-format application available for linux can be ported fairly easily to linux; almost all of them compile out of the box with fink, opendarwin, or similar. Openoffice.org is available for OSX. mutt will work, if you're *really* in love with mbox. Crazy; like you said, emotional, not intellectual, decision. </description>
